A Coordination Council for Tourism Development Established in Karakalpakstan

The first meeting of the Coordination Council for Tourism Development was held in Karakalpakstan.

The Council was established within the framework of the joint project of GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation) and "DMO Karakalpakstan" with the support of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Tourism Department of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The main goal of the Council is to establish effective cooperation between government agencies and the private sector for the development of the tourism industry.

During the meeting, important issues related to tourism development were discussed. In particular, "DMO Karakalpakstan" presented the results of an analysis of the current regulatory documents in this field and formulated proposals for further tourism development in Karakalpakstan.

The meetings of the Coordination Council will be held once every three months. Thus, cooperation between the public and private sectors will contribute to the effective development of tourism and open new opportunities in this field.
