On October 13, a meeting was held in the hall of the "DMO Karakalpakstan" Public Association on the implementation of the project "QR Gastronomic Quality: Evaluating and Improving the Gastronomic Quality of Tourist Services to Increase the Attractiveness of Karakalpakstan", funded by the Public Fund for Supporting Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

         The meeting was attended by the heads of restaurants and cafes of Karakalpakstan, as well as representatives of travel agencies.

         This project is aimed at the further development of tourism in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and provides for:

• development and implementation of digital and traditional mechanisms for assessing and monitoring the quality of services;

• strengthening competition between tourism market participants;

• creation of new jobs by turning the region into an attractive tourist destination.

    To achieve these goals, the following tasks have been defined:

• creation of a unified system for assessing and monitoring the quality of tourism services in Karakalpakstan;

• development of a mobile application and online platform for direct receipt of tourist feedback to improve service quality and customer satisfaction;

• implementation of operational assessment of the quality of services at tourist facilities using QR codes;

• organization of the "QR Gastronomic Quality" competition, aimed at improving the level of service and rewarding the best participants in the industry;

• conducting comprehensive training and internships for tourism entities with the involvement of international specialists.

         During the event, key issues of project implementation were discussed, and participants exchanged views on improving the quality of tourist services.

         Following the meeting, further steps were identified to study and strengthen the gastronomic potential of Karakalpakstan.
