On the 6th of November in Nukus the Public Association “DMO Karakalpakstan” hosted the French Ambassador to Uzbekistan Mr. Walid Fuk and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening international cooperation in the field of tourism.

The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, R. Zarikeev, welcomed the guests and familiarized them with the main directions for the development of the tourism sector in the region, and also noted that Karakalpakstan is open to mutually beneficial cooperation.

During the meeting, M. Kosnazarov, Director of DMO Karakalpakstan, spoke about the tourism potential of Karakalpakstan, its unique natural and cultural attractions, as well as the organization’s activities aimed at sustainable tourism development, the promotion of cultural heritage, and improving the quality of life for the local population.

Special attention was given to opportunities for cooperation with French tourism organizations and investors, experience exchange in tourism digitalization, the development of the geopark, and joint promotion of the region at international exhibitions and forums.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships, which will contribute to forming a positive image of the region on the international tourism stage.
