On November 10th, 2025, the public association DMO Karakalpakstan presented the project “QR Gastronomic Quality: Assessing and Improving the Gastronomic Quality of Tourism Services to Enhance the Attractiveness of Karakalpakstan”, implemented on the basis of a social order from the Oliy Majlis Fund.
The event was attended by representatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations, government institutions, higher education establishments, as well as tourism industry specialists.
During the presentation, participants were introduced in detail to the goals and main directions of the project, including:
- creation of a unified system for assessing and monitoring the quality of tourist services in the Republic of Karakalpakstan;
- development of a modern mobile application and online platform for promptly collecting feedback from tourists, which will help improve service quality and enhance visitor satisfaction;
- implementation of QR codes at tourist sites for quick and convenient evaluation of service quality;
- organization of the “QR Gastronomic Quality” competition aimed at stimulating service development and recognizing the most successful representatives of the tourism sector;
- arrangement of large-scale training programs, workshops, and internships with the participation of international experts to enhance the qualifications of tourism industry stakeholders.
During the presentation, key aspects of the project were discussed together with the participants, including proposals and opinions on improving tourism and gastronomic quality in Karakalpakstan.
